Every dollar spent on the North East Link Toll Road, is a dollar taken away from things people need.
So far the Victorian government has spent $26 billion on this project.
Think about all the other things we could have funded with this sum.
We could be spending this money on our struggling mental health services, our underfunded public schools, homelessness services, public housing, the list goes on.
The government has a choice on what it prioritises.
Time and again it has chosen this massive project.
How much longer will they continue to prioritise this expensive, polluting, unpopular project while cutting the things people genuinely value and need?
